Artefact Repository
The artefact repository contains links to pages detailing the five key learning outcomes of my directed fieldwork project, as well as a link to the final online exhibit. My goals for this directed fieldwork experience were to:
|
Resource Selection
Using the Katharine Emma Maltwood finding aid developed for the University of Victoria Archives, resources were selected for digitization.
ResearchResearch materials contributing to this exhibit are available in an array of scholarly articles, exhibit catalogs, as well as on private websites and blogs.
|
DigitizationApproximately 5 dozen items from the Katharine Emma Maltwood fonds were selected to become digital surrogates using various digitization tools.
Exhibit Development
Cascade CMS was chosen to create the digital exhibit instead of Omeka because of its updatable template and ability to link to CONTENTdm.
|
Metadata
Dublin Core metadata was applied to the digitized resources and was entered into the digital collections management software, CONTENTdm and published to the web for public use.
Digital Exhibit
